Nursing

The nursing pathway described in the original material combines theoretical knowledge with supervised practice in care settings. Its aim is to prepare professionals with the clinical and interpersonal skills needed to serve individuals and communities.

The presentation describes a three-year, limited-entry degree with an admissions notice and further specialist study. Programme duration, professional eligibility and admission rules must be checked with the awarding university.

Professional learning objectives

Nurses contribute to identifying individual and community health needs, setting care objectives, planning, managing and evaluating nursing interventions, implementing diagnostic and therapeutic prescriptions, and working both individually and with other health and social care professionals.

Theoretical and practical training develops clinical, behavioural and professional skills in relevant workplace settings, with activities in prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, palliative care and protection of individual and public health.

Teaching and supervised practice

The original material refers to compulsory attendance, semester-based teaching, tutorials and problem-based learning, individual study, seminars, laboratories and 60 placement credits spread over three years. It also mentions an overall 180+60-credit structure; the current official study plan must clarify the degree and any additional specialist component.

Practice may take place in approved public and private healthcare organisations, community services and home-care settings in Albania, Italy or another country, according to the agreements available for the programme.

Mobility and further study

The presentation describes participation in European mobility projects, including Erasmus, and non-European exchanges under the Atlante programme where available. Graduates may consider further study in nursing and midwifery sciences subject to the destination institution's admission requirements.
