About Campus IEA

Information requiring confirmation: this material includes historical descriptions. Before enrolling, obtain current documents from the academic office about the programme, university, accreditation, fees and qualification recognition.

International European Academy

Campus IEA was founded in Tirana, Albania, in 2012. Its institutional presentation describes university education, seminars, language courses, internships, postgraduate training and supervised professional practice with an international outlook.

University programmes and student support

The historical presentation identifies IEA Campus as a promoter and coordinator of joint nursing and physiotherapy study pathways involving the University of Medicine, Tirana, and the University of Pitesti, Romania. The academic office must confirm the university responsible for each current programme and provide the relevant agreements before enrolment.

The campus supports students with enrolment documents and legalised translations, flexible teaching schedules for working students, theoretical lessons through its online platform where permitted, placements in public and private accredited facilities, and transfer applications to the university's main campus. Teaching may take place in Romanian, Albanian, Italian and English according to the programme.

Tirana is presented as an accessible location for students from the Balkans, the Mediterranean and Italy. The original presentation highlights Albania's position and living costs as reasons for choosing the campus. Current accommodation and study costs should be requested from the academic office.

Universities and partners named in the original presentation

The original material lists Danubius University in Galati, the University of Medicine in Tirana, Medical University in Sofia, the University of Pitesti, Apollonia University in Iasi, VUZF University in Sofia and Rizonanca in Pristina. It also names Athena Centro Studi in Milan, IRSD, Medical Center Dybeli Group, European Student Associations, the Medicalbania foundation, Dante Alighieri University, Kore University of Enna, Dunarea de Jos University in Galati, Unimercatorum, Carol Davila University and the University of Brasov.

These names reproduce the institution's existing material; they do not establish that a particular partnership or accreditation is currently active. Obtain written confirmation for the specific degree, academic year, teaching location and awarding institution.

Teaching, examinations and degree awards

The presentation describes teaching by experienced lecturers authorised by the relevant universities, campus examinations and a theoretical and practical placement at the main university at the end of the academic year. The university, not Campus IEA, awards the academic degree and its accompanying documentation under the applicable agreement.

The recognition of examinations, credits and qualifications depends on the awarding university and the competent authorities. A degree or campus course does not by itself guarantee permission to practise a regulated healthcare profession throughout the European Union.

The European higher education framework

The Bologna Process aims to make qualifications more transparent and comparable, support student mobility and improve quality assurance. The Diploma Supplement explains the nature and level of a qualification. Degree structures include first-cycle, second-cycle and doctoral studies, with entry requirements determined by each institution.

The European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System, ECTS, records learning outcomes and the associated workload. A full-time academic year normally represents 60 ECTS credits. One credit typically represents 25 to 30 hours of total work, not 25 to 30 hours every week. Recognition of transferred credits is decided by the receiving institution.

The campus presentation also discusses access to study and training opportunities, services for students, recognition of European teaching, research and placement periods for lecturers, researchers and administrative staff, cooperation in quality assessment, curriculum development and integrated education and research programmes.
